Tools and Products I Use

One of the most frequent questions I get asked is, “What tools and products do you use?”

I’m not a big fan of using dozens of tools and products to get the job done. You just need to find a few things that work and keep on using those.

Keep in mind I’ve purchased all these items over the past seven years. I highly recommend you start with the most basic tools and products and gradually purchase more as you need them.

iK Foam Pro 12: We use this with an APC diluted 4:1

Headlight Restoration

3″ Sanding Block: Hand held block for even wet-sanding (I don’t always use this)
3″ Soft Interface Pad: This goes between the block and sandpaper (I always use this)
3″ 800 Grit Sanding Paper: If the headlight is in bad condition, we’ll start with 800 grit.
3″ 1000 Grit Sanding Paper: Usually the first step in the sanding process
3″ 2000 Grit Sanding Paper: The second step in the sanding process
3″ 3000 Grit Sanding Paper: The final step in the sanding process
CERAKOTE Headlight Clear Coat Pack: We purchase the Pro Pack to only use the ceramic coating.

Paint Correction

Griot’s Garage G9 Polisher: Great beginner level polisher
Adam’s Cordless Polisher Kit: A cordless polisher we use for spot corrections, light polishing, or wax application
Adam’s 3″ Polisher: Great polisher to get around tighter areas around the paint
Griot’s Garage 3″ Polisher: Great polisher to get around tighter areas around the paint
Malco Epic Paint Correction System: Another great combo set (we primarily only use the compound and polish)
Oberk Swirl Remover Kit: The main combo we use (with their pads as well)

Interior Cleaning

Work Stuff Detailing Brush Kit: High quality brushes we use for interior and exterior detailing.
